Way Down in New Orleans - coming to Austin

This group show is now traveling to Austin, which means my La Llorona will be on display, and home soon! I'll definitely be at the opening, so please come say hello.

Super Alright Creative Studio is please to announce the exhibition, Way Down in New Orleans, from December 6th until January 10th. This traveling exhibition opened in Washington DC on the third anniversary of Katrina, and has now come to Texas. Way Down in New Orleans unites an array of New Orleans-based artists with artists nationwide, five artists hailing from Austin; both groups affected and shaped by the storm, and it's aftermath. The exhibition is curated by (former Austinite) New York based artist and curator Aubrey Edwards. An opening reception is scheduled for Saturday, December 6, 2008, from 7-10 pm at Super! Alright! studios. Twenty percent of art sales benefits the New Orleans Kid Camera Project, www.kidcameraproject.org.
